I’m a UX Designer. Prior to discovering UX, I worked as a Canvass Director on a voter registration campaign in North Carolina, as a Campaign Manager on a congressional campaign in Virginia, and as a Community Organizer (and then Communications Associate) at a non-profit in Maryland.
My professional background in political & community organizing and communications has taught me how to empower others to advocate for the change they need, in part by making abstract and complex issues more accessible and tangible. These experiences drive me to create accessible and understandable tools to better people’s lives, through empathy and thoughtful research.
Outside of my professional background, many of my personal experiences have taught me the importance of continuous learning. I’m originally from Hartford, CT but have lived in 4 countries and 11 states. As you might be able to infer, I love to travel! I enjoy experiencing the new cultures, ways of life, history, food, and languages that traveling allows. Traveling encourages me to stay curious and seek beauty in all that surrounds me.
In addition to traveling, I like cooking, pottery, photography, and hiking (my partner and I have a goal to visit all the U.S. national parks over the next few years). You may also find me playing The Sims. Feel free to check out some of my photos below!
